Terms of service

These terms apply to the use of B1 Sprechen (b1sprechen.com). The provider is B1 Sprechen, United States. You can reach us at support@b1sprechen.com.

B1 Sprechen is a practice simulation of the speaking part of the Goethe-Zertifikat B1: preparation, the three parts of the exam and individual feedback. The examiners and your partner are voiced by AI; for the conversation and the feedback we use AI models from external providers (currently OpenAI and Google). More in the AI notice.

The simulation is recorded by default so that you can listen to it later. You can switch off the recording before every start. Details are in the privacy policy.

B1 Sprechen is an independent practice service and is not affiliated with the Goethe-Institut. The simulation does not replace the official exam and issues neither a certificate nor a grade. Your exam result depends on your performance on the day of the exam.

• To open an account, you must be at least 18 years old and confirm your email address.
• Please use one account per person and keep your sign-in details to yourself.
• Once confirmed, you can try it once for free, once per email address: a short version with all three parts, about 6 minutes, followed by brief feedback.

• You buy simulations as a pack with a one-off payment – not a subscription. Current prices are on the pricing page.
• Payment is handled by our payment provider Waffo Pancake, which also sends you the receipt.
• After payment, your simulations are available at once and valid for 90 days. We always use the simulation that expires first.
• Starting a simulation uses one simulation from your balance. If it breaks off because of a technical error on our side, or the feedback cannot be created, we credit it back to you after review.
• Within 14 days of purchase, we refund unused simulations pro rata. Details are in the refund policy.

• The simulation is meant for your own practice.
• Please no automated access, no sharing of your account, no attempts to get around security measures and no unlawful or offensive content.
• What you say in the simulation is practice content and does not change how it runs.
• In case of serious misuse, we may block an account.

• We work to keep the service reliable, but we cannot guarantee that it is available at all times without interruption. AI feedback may contain errors.
• To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the last 12 months. Mandatory statutory rights, for example as a consumer, remain unaffected.
• The law of the provider's place of business (United States) applies; mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence remain unaffected.
• These terms are available in German, English and Chinese; if they differ, the German version prevails.
• We may update these terms. A purchase is governed by the version you agreed to when you made it (currently 2026-09).
