In the simulation, Frau Weber and Herr Braun lead the exam; your AI partner sits in the room with you. All three are voiced by AI – so you can practise the exam whenever it suits you. No person listens live during the simulation.

• It holds the conversation in real time – with questions and reactions as in the exam.
• It writes down what you say so that you can read it again later.
• After the simulation, it creates your feedback with examples from your own sentences.

We use the latest top models from leading AI providers. We choose them by what works best for natural conversations and helpful feedback, and we keep upgrading as better models become available. The real-time conversation is currently run by GPT-Live from OpenAI.

For the conversation to work in real time, our AI provider processes your voice during the simulation – even if you switch off the recording. More in the privacy policy

• AI understands spoken language very well but can occasionally mishear. That is why we do not assess passages that cannot be understood clearly.
• The feedback is a practice aid – not a grade and not a prediction for the exam.
• Pronunciation is not part of the feedback.
